Dave Mason may not be a household name, but he could possibly be the "The Forest Gump of Rock” having hung out with or worked on projects by classic rock royalty, including with Jimmi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Gram Parsons, Mama Cass, and Delaney & Bonnie.
After co-founding the band Traffic, he spent the next several years in and out of the band. He moved across the pond to the US in 1971, where he recorded his first solo album, Alone Together. Mason was joined in the studio by some of rock's best musicians, including Leon Russell, Jim Keltner, and his Traffic teammate, Jim Capaldi.
